By accessing or using Quizzel (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Quizzel is a free, web-based trivia game application that allows users to answer questions, earn scores, compete on leaderboards, and challenge friends. The Service may include advertisements served by third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to use the Service.
You may use the Service as a guest without creating an account. If you choose to create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.
When you create a registered account, a public profile is automatically generated and accessible at a URL based on your display name (e.g., /u/your-username). By default, your profile is public and may display your display name, gameplay statistics (games played, accuracy, best score, best streak), leaderboard rank, country, account creation date, bio, and online/activity status.
You may set your profile to private at any time via your Account page. When your profile is private, other users will see a “Private profile” message instead of your information.
Your email address is never displayed on your public profile. You are responsible for ensuring that any information you add to your profile (such as your bio or display name) complies with these Terms and does not contain offensive, misleading, or inappropriate content.
Registered users can manage their account through the Account page, including: changing their display name (subject to availability and usage limits), writing a short bio (up to 160 characters), toggling profile visibility between public and private, requesting email verification, and managing subscription settings if applicable.

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to the game design, user interface, graphics, audio, code, and question database — are owned by Quizzel or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not permit you to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the Service or its content.
By submitting content to the Service (including display names, bug reports, feature requests, and contact messages), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, and process that content in connection with operating and improving the Service.
You represent that any content you submit does not violate the rights of any third party and complies with these Terms and applicable laws.
The Service may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense. By using the Service, you acknowledge that advertisements are a part of the experience and agree not to use ad-blocking software or tools to circumvent or remove advertisements.
We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or for any products or services advertised. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.
Leaderboard rankings and challenge results are provided for entertainment purposes. We reserve the right to remove scores or entries that we reasonably believe were achieved through cheating, exploitation, or violation of these Terms.
We make no guarantees about the availability or accuracy of leaderboard data and may reset leaderboards at our discretion.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy of questions or answers provided in the game. The Service is intended for entertainment purposes only.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Quizzel AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICE (WHICH IS ZERO, AS THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Quizzel and its operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) shall survive.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Quizzel regarding the use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
