Wheel of Chaos

How It Works

Wheel of Chaos is a per-question modifier roulette. Accept the offer, spin a wheel of eight wild modifiers, and play a single question under whatever lands. The modifier might double or halve your points, tax your score, grant a bonus heart, arm a safety net for a future mistake, double-down on a wrong answer, or wipe your streak — the wheel decides. Lifelines are disabled while a Wheel of Chaos question is live. Once the modifier resolves, the wheel retires for the rest of the run.

Why It Matters

No other mode swings as wildly as this one. On a good spin, you can grab a bonus heart or double your haul on a hard question. On a bad spin, you can lose a streak you've been building for ten minutes. Wheel of Chaos is the only mode where the risk profile changes every time you play it — and that unpredictability is the point.

Tips

  • Accept early in a run when a bad streak reset or score tax hurts less
  • Skip it if you've built a long streak or are sitting at low hearts
  • Half of the eight modifiers help you and half hurt you, so it's a genuine coin flip
  • Lifelines are locked during the wheel question, so don't spin if you were counting on one
